The value of international links

Helping patients to fulfil one last dream can be an equally important part of palliative
care. But what happens when that dream is a holiday in another country, thousands of
miles away from your local hospice team? This is where the value of international links
with hospices is so important, giving patients the confidence to travel knowing that
support is there.

knowing that the hospice is there for me, if I should need it, has given me back the
confidence that the cancer stole away." Personal communication to hospice
