Who we are
hospice information is a new service, launched in February 2002, built on the firm
foundations of the achievements of the Hospice Information Service at St.
Christopher's. For more information about our history, please
We set out to provide high quality, relevant information to health professionals and
members of the public. We also aim to link practitioners together so that they can
share information, knowledge and experience and, in doing so, further the
development of hospice and palliative care throughout the world.
hospice information provides a range of services:
- enquiry service
- hospice UK online
- UK and Ireland hospice directory
- international hospice directories
- website
- resource centres
- publications
- research and statistical information
In all our work we seek to provide information in ways that acknowledge the needs
of people in different communities in the UK and throughout the world. We want to
work in partnership with others and wish to provide a competent service in a
compassionate way.
Dame Cicely Saunders, founder and President of St Christopher's and founder of the
modern hospice movement, and the Duchess of Norfolk, founder and President of
Help the Hospices are Patrons of hospice information.
hospice information is a joint service, brought to you by St. Christopher's Hospice
and Help the Hospices in the UK. It is part of the legal framework of Help the Hospices,
charity registration number 1014851.
